Know God, Know the Bible

God has given you the chance to personally know Him. You can be amazed at His greatness and conform you life to His expectations. You can talk to Him and walk with Him in the evenings.  It's truly awesome, and no other relationship will ever compare to your relationship with God as you give yourself wholeheartedly to Him.

Knowing God doesn't happen by osmosis or through a one-page devotional and a little Christian radio. You have to study the Bible, meditate on it, and obey the truths that are revealed to you. You have to let it shape your worldview, changing how you think about trials, relationships, contemporary issues, and God Himself. I mean, think about it. How does God's omnipotence affect you in tough times? Does it change anything? Does what you know about God's love make it easier to walk by faith? It should, and as we learn to know God, we'll also learn to see the world as He does - with spiritual vision.

Knowing God is the priority, knowing the Bible is the process. God gave us His Word so that we could have an inspired look at who He is. Many people have their ideas, but only God's Word has the truth. At CVSB, we want to teach you the truth, not so you can win the next round of Bible trivia, but so that you can know the Truth-Giver and be conformed to His image.
